Just Hatched: No Yucky Stuff

2014/04 By Lauren B. Stevens 2 Comments

I love it when I discover new products that I feel confident using on my son’s sensitive baby skin, and Just Hatched baby products are no exception.  I literally stumbled across Just Hatched via Twitter, and was pleasantly surprised when I checked out their website and products.  A quick Twitter chat and they were sending me some products to try out and share with you.

What first drew me in was Just Hatched’s slogan, No Yucky Stuff Inside.  Just Hatched bath time products are sulfate, paraben, phthlate, and gluten-free.  Yup, you can use these on your baby without worrying about there being any yucky stuff inside.
The second detail that caught my eye about Just Hatched products was the price point.  I expect to pay between $10-15 when I purchase natural body wash & lotion for Declan.  Just Hatched, with their straightforward ingredient list, is half that price.  Simple, straightforward products without yucky stuff that are affordable for anyone’s budget.  I love the fact that Just Hatched has created a line of hypoallergenic products, without all of the chemicals, for every mom.
Just Hatched sent us the Happy Baby Body Wash and the Soft Baby Body Lotion to give a try.  We have tried many different baby washes, and Just Hatched Happy Baby Body Wash is, by far, the yummiest smelling.  If new baby smell was bottled and sold as a baby wash & lotion, it would be Just Hatched’s products.  A cross between tapioca pudding and vanilla bean, Just Hatched’s products smell good enough to eat!
I love the gentle body wash, but found the consistency to be a little like hair gel (which doesn’t really make a difference when you’re just going to lather it anyway).  I don’t know if the consistency is because my products froze on my front doorstep after delivery, or if this is the normal consistency; either way, it gets the job done.  Followed with Soft Baby Body Lotion, our bath routine is set with affordable Sulfate/Paraben/Phthalate free products.  Declan sleeps soundly, we sleep easy knowing that we’ve made a good choice for his sensitive baby skin.

I think it is so wonderful that there are affordable natural products now for babies and children. It’s so important. I have Lupus and though they don’t know the cause of Lupus, one of the things they think may cause it, is exposure to chemicals. So I praise you and Just Hatched!

I had no idea that they have theories that link Lupus with chemical exposure — that’s terrible! I hope that you are at a point where you are easily able to manage symptoms – I can’t even imagine what it’s like to live with Lupus.
