LuLaRoe – How Do You Roe?

2016/10 By Lauren B. Stevens Leave a Comment

I’m late to the game, I know. Really late to the game. But I made it, so that’s all that counts, right?

Around 8pm on a weeknight, I opened my laptop to browse some of my Facebook writing groups when I saw that I was invited to a pop-up party. I’d always seethed when I’d been added to one of these groups without being asked, but I’d been curious about these “parties” and joined to see what all the buzz was about LuLaRoe clothing.

I may be late to the party, but that doesn't mean I can't throw one! Come check out my online LuLaRoe Pop-up Boutique on Tuesday, 10/11 at 7pm EST!

I browsed albums full of piecemeal clothing articles, not quite convinced and definitely not understanding the hype. And then I saw it. I saw a beautiful bohemian-looking outfit I knew I had to have, in beautiful greens and browns (in a floral pattern, and I’m totally not into floral patterns), and I could almost hear the harp music coming down from the heavens as my heart beat a little faster:

I may be late to the party, but that doesn't mean I can't throw one! Come check out my online LuLaRoe Pop-up Boutique on Tuesday, 10/11 at 7pm EST!

The outfit on the left is what drew me in to LuLaRoe clothing.

My first few weeks of LLRing were spent on the hunt for the exact outfit I saw in the photo. I found it, and also snagged a super soft pair of leggings in the same floral print — SCORE! Along the way, I discovered Irma shirts, comfortable, with sleeves that go down to my elbow and length to make every tall girl, like myself, super happy. I also discovered the Randy shirt, a women’s baseball shirt, perfect for fall in a kaleidoscope of patterns and colors.

I think the thing that I like most about LuLaRoe is that it has made clothing fun for me again. Apart from the stubborn weight gain I’ve suffered in my mid-to-late thirties, I work from home, with no need to “dress”. That can be a slippery slope, and I found myself wearing yoga pants and tank tops every. single. day. And then I discovered LLR, and realized that I can look ‘put-together’ and be comfortable while working from home. And depending on the fabric, I can dress all of my LLR clothes up or down for whatever the occasion calls for. To-date, I own:

5 – pairs of leggings (I didn’t realize I had that many until I counted for this)

1 – Maxi skirt

3 – Irma shirts

1 – Randy shirt

1 – Sarah sweater (love, LOVE)

1 – Nicole dress

1 – Sloan tee (baseball tee like Randy, but for my son)

1 – pair of kids leggings (again, for my son)

Okay, so tallying these up is a surprise to me because I had no idea I’d already purchased so much! And yes, I even got my son into LLR. He owns one outfit — a Sloan tee and leggings — and says that it’s his “snuggly” outfit. He asks to wear it multiple times a week!

So, why am I talking about LuLaRoe so much? Well, my friends, I’m hosting an online pop-up boutique for my local consultant this coming Tuesday, October 11th at 7pm EST and I’d LOVE for you to come take a look! I met my consultant at my dentist’s office – true story! Nikki carries a very large inventory, compared to some other pop-ups I’ve attended, and she’s placing an additional order just for this party! I’d love for you to come and shop, and check out LuLaRoe, if you’re not already familiar. Oh, Nikki will also be doing some giveaways, so stop by and take a look! You can request to join the party by following the link below:
