If you’ve followed lo-wren for any length of time, you know my affinity towards work at home moms (WAHMs), small/family owned business, and local business. Two of my favorite cloth diaper brands, Buttons and Smart Bottoms, are run by husband and wife teams, in a scenario where starting a family gave birth to a business idea.

Cutting out derbys from a gorgeous Italian suede! #wecutbyhand #details #womenatwork #makers #womenentrepreneurs #mompreneurs #masondixonmade

I am excited to announce the launch of Mason Dixon, a boutique line of children’s goods handmade in Philadelphia! Mason Dixon is a husband and wife team, with Heather Holiday designing and her husband, Dusty Mears, assisting with production. Holiday left her graphic design career to found and launch Mason Dixon, which is truly a labor of love. Holiday and Mears work from a home studio and are parents to two young children.

The shoes. The shoes! Classic in style, handcrafted, and with a mission to create heirloom quality goods, Mason Dixon shoes will be available for purchase on their website Saturday, August 1.

Responsibly produced, Mason Dixon will begin by offering two shoe styles: derby shoes (sizes 3-10) and soft-soled booties (sizes newborn-12 months). Mason Dixon shoes are made from soft suedes from Italy, Spain and Germany, featuring leather sourced as a by-product of food sources. Insoles are 100% vegetable tanned leather, breathable, eventually molding to the shape of the foot — perfect for early walkers! Shoe soles are made from 100% genuine plantation crepe petroleum-free rubber. Folks, these shoes are to die for! Beautifully crafted in timeless styles, Mason Dixon shoes easily transition from denim to dresses or slacks.

I am excited to announce the launch of Mason Dixon, a boutique line of children's goods handmade in Philadelphia!

Initially launching with their shoe line, Mason Dixon will be adding nursery items, such as handmade baby quilts, in the near future. To shop Mason Dixon, visit their website: masondixonmade.com. If you’re local, you can purchase Mason Dixon goods at Pucci Manuli in Ardmore, Pa & hatch in Ambler, Pa.

To find out the latest Mason Dixon news, visit them on social media, via Facebook or Instagram. Don’t forget to purchase your #cuteshoes when the site launches on August 1st!
