I love to cook. I love working with beautiful, fresh ingredients and coaxing the most flavor out of them. I find prepping vegetables relaxing and a great way to decompress from my day. But, since Declan’s birth, I’ve been finding it more and more difficult to cook. The reasons are many and varied: baby/mommy brain makes grocery shopping difficult, I’m uninspired when it comes to planning meals, and actually being able to prepare and cook foods is extremely difficult (not to mention dangerous) with a toddler weaving himself around my legs.
After months of making do, and lately, ordering out more often than I care to share, I finally did a little research. I had heard musings about meal planning services here and there, and just never really got it. I had heard more about meal delivery services than a service that just plans your menu. Why would I pay someone to tell me what to cook? Enter my current situation/condition, feeling overwhelmed and uninspired, I enlisted the help of a meal planning service.
I am excited to share that I’ve partnered with eMeals planning service, not only for help with my menu, but with creating my grocery list and keeping me on a grocery budget. Okay, so eMeals isn’t helping me with my menu, they’re planning it out for me! The light is shining brightly at the end of my frustrating meal tunnel!
While I’ve not started with menus or grocery shopping yet (we just did a big order the other week), I’m already impressed by the amazing customer service. I’m sure it was user error, but I was accidentally enrolled in the incorrect meal plan, which I switched shortly after my initial sign up. When I received the menu, I saw some packaged/prepared foods (pre-cooked chicken, etc.) on it an knew it was not the plan for us. I emailed my contact with the type of plan I was looking for (fresh fruits, meats & veggies) that evening…and heard back from customer service the same night! Customer service automatically enrolled me in the Clean Eating Meal Plan, and my menu was sent as well. A quick glance at the menu and ingredients, and I am impressed! Customer service did an excellent job pairing me with the right plan. This was one of the quickest customer service fixes I’ve ever experienced, and it says a lot about this company to me.
I’ll be sharing my experience with you in future posts, but for the time being, feel free to check out eMeals for yourself by clicking any of the images in this post, or the eMeals logo on the right side of the screen.
