Declan was delighted when I broke out his Nuby iMonster cup for the first time! The bright colors drew him in, as did the fun face on the lid. Nuby’s iMonster No-Spill Cup is sure to keep your little one hydrated and entertained.
The Easy Grip base makes it easy for D to hold the cup himself:
The silicone spout is similar in style to the 4-in-1 Convert-A-Cup, as it’s one piece and easy to clean. The ‘technical’ aspect of the spout is the same as well, and Declan was easily able to navigate the spout’s valve, putting a small amount of pressure to allow liquid to pass through.
I must point out that we’ve had spills with this cup, but it’s due to me putting it together improperly. As you can see in the above photo, the silicone spout fits into the lid and must create a seal on both top and bottom. I typically concentrated on aligning the top portion of the spout and didn’t check underneath — the result was the broken seal you see on the right. After doing this several times (it takes me a while to catch on), I now remember to check both top and bottom seals. If there is a con to this cup, this factor would be it.
As sippy cups go, this one is a winner! I like that it holds 8 ounces, so it’s perfect for taking plenty of water along on hikes and walks in the summer heat. The iMonster No-Spill cup is available at these retailers:
