We were super excited to be able to participate in this year’s record-breaking Great Cloth Diaper Change on April 20th! I first learned about this event last year, with Declan in-utero, while I was busy building our cloth diaper stash. This event is genius on many levels: it promotes awareness of cloth diapering as a very viable (and fun) diapering option (not to mention WAY less wasteful) and it provides a venue for like-minded parents to meet, trade tips, and check out some cool cloth diapers!
Our local event was hosted by my closest cloth diaper store, The Nesting House, and a local diaper service, Diapers Plus, Inc. Unfortunately, The Median Daddy had a work event, so D and myself ventured over to the church where the event was being held.
We got there about 15 minutes early, found ourselves a spot, and started talking diapers with other attendees.
When it was time, we raised our (clean) diapers (in a cloth-like toast) and simultaneously changed our kiddos diapers.
A few diapering related prizes were raffled off, and there was kiddo music time. Declan couldn’t help but bebop along!
I’m looking forward to helping break this year’s record at next year’s The Great Cloth Diaper Change. For more information about what you can do to help change the world, one CLOTH diaper at a time, check out the Real Diaper Association website

Did you attend The Great Cloth Diaper Change this year? If so, where did your GCDC take place?
