Self-promotion represents a crucial ability for professional advancement and accomplishment in contemporary competitive career landscapes. However, for numerous women, emphasizing personal achievements constitutes a formidable challenge, frequently impeded by societal expectations, internalized biases, and apprehensions regarding perceived arrogance or boastfulness.

Embracing self-promotion involves recognizing one’s worth, celebrating accomplishments, and advocating for deserved recognition rather than arrogance.

2. The Challenge of Women and Self-Promotion

Women have confronted unique obstacles regarding self-promotion. Societal conditioning over centuries has instilled the perception that modesty and humility are desirable feminine traits, while self-promotion is deemed unbecoming or aggressive.

This mindset has erected an invisible barrier, preventing many talented and accomplished women from actively showcasing achievements and claiming credit for successes.

3. Importance of Self-Promotion for Women in the Workplace

It is a critical element in career growth and opportunities. By effectively showcasing their achievements, individuals can enhance their visibility, establish themselves as experts in their field, and position themselves for leadership roles, promotions, and higher compensation.

It has been observed that in some cases, not actively promoting oneself can lead to a situation where the contributions made by women are not fully recognized, which in turn can result in a lack of career progression opportunities.

4. Overcoming Barriers to Self-Promotion

Women must confront and overcome barriers that often inhibit their ability to embrace self-promotion.

4.1. Imposter Syndrome: Recognizing and Combatting It

The imposter syndrome, a psychological phenomenon where individuals doubt their accomplishments and feel fraudulent despite qualifications and successes, presents a common challenge for many women. Recognizing and addressing this self-doubt is crucial.

Celebrate achievements, acknowledge hard work, and surround yourself with a support system that reinforces worth.

Mike Hanson, the creator of the multmetric.com website, offers this advice for those experiencing imposter syndrome: “Acknowledge that imposter feelings are common, even among highly accomplished individuals. Remind yourself of your strengths, skills, and past successes whenever self-doubt creeps in. Surround yourself with a supportive network who can provide an objective perspective and remind you of your worth.”

4.2. Cultural and Gender Biases

Societal and cultural biases can contribute to hesitation around self-promotion. Women may internalize these biases, leading them to downplay achievements or attribute successes to external factors rather than abilities.

Challenging these ingrained beliefs and actively countering them is essential for effective self-promotion.

4.3. Fear of Backlash

Another barrier women face is the fear of backlash or negative perceptions when self-promoting. A common misconception exists that self-promotion by women is viewed less favorably than when men engage in the same behavior. Overcoming this fear requires a mindset shift and recognition that self-promotion is a professional necessity, not a personal indulgence.

5. Strategies for Effective Self-Promotion

Once the barriers have been addressed, women can employ various strategies to effectively showcase their achievements.

5.1. Building a Strong Personal Brand

Developing a strong personal brand can be a powerful tool for self-promotion. It involves identifying and communicating your unique strengths, values, and expertise in a consistent and authentic manner. A strong personal brand can enhance visibility and position you as a thought leader in your field.

5.2. Leveraging Networking Opportunities

Networking events, industry conferences, and professional associations provide valuable platforms for self-promotion. Actively participating in these events, engaging in discussions, and sharing your expertise can help raise your profile and showcase your achievements to a wider audience.

5.3. Mastering the Art of Self-Advocacy

Self-advocacy is the ability to effectively communicate your value, accomplishments, and goals to others. This includes negotiating for deserved opportunities, promotions, or compensation. By honing self-advocacy skills, women can ensure that their contributions are recognized and rewarded appropriately.

6. Tools and Platforms for Showcasing Achievements

In the digital age, there are numerous tools and platforms available for women to showcase their achievements effectively.

6.1. Social Media Strategies

Social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and industry-specific forums offer excellent opportunities for self-promotion. By sharing updates, insights, and thought leadership content, women can establish themselves as experts in their fields and showcase their accomplishments to a global audience.

6.2. Creating an Impactful Online Presence

Developing a strong online presence through personal websites, blogs, or digital portfolios can serve as a powerful showcase for achievements. These platforms allow women to curate and present their work, accomplishments, and expertise in a compelling and visually appealing manner.

7. Mentorship and Support Systems for Women in Self-Promotion

Navigating the challenges of self-promotion can be easier with the guidance and support of mentors and role models. Seeking out mentors who have successfully navigated the self-promotion journey can provide invaluable advice, encouragement, and strategies tailored to individual circumstances.

Additionally, joining supportive professional networks or women’s empowerment groups can provide a safe space to practice self-promotion and receive constructive feedback.

8. Conclusion: Empowering Women to Own Their Success

Self-promotion is not an indulgence; it’s a necessity for women to achieve the recognition and career advancement they deserve. By overcoming societal barriers, embracing self-advocacy, and effectively showcasing their achievements, women can take control of their professional narratives and inspire others to do the same.

It’s time for women to own their successes, celebrate their accomplishments, and boldly claim the space they have rightfully earned. Embracing the art of self-promotion is not just a personal journey; it’s a powerful step towards shattering glass ceilings and paving the way for future generations of women to thrive in their chosen fields.

In a recent appearance, Queen Camilla made a striking entrance while donning one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite tiaras, the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland.” This dazzling diamond tiara, a symbol of tradition and regal elegance, holds a significant place in the British monarchy’s history.

However, it’s worth noting that this iconic tiara was at the center of a noteworthy and somewhat controversial incident during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Queen Camilla’s choice to wear the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” tiara marked a poignant moment in her royal journey. This exquisite tiara, initially crafted by Garrard jewelers in the late 19th century, has a storied past that extends beyond its beauty.

You won’t find such a level of pieces in stores anymore, even on the world’s largest platforms with an impressive range of diamond jewelry (e.g. Delagem.com). It was originally commissioned by a charitable committee bearing the same name and was meant as a wedding gift for Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, who was then engaged to Prince Albert, the heir to the British throne.

Tragically, Prince Albert passed away shortly after their engagement. In a twist of fate, Princess Victoria Mary of Teck eventually married his brother, who would ascend to the throne as King George V. Nevertheless, the tiara remained a precious memento of her engagement.

But what makes this tiara even more fascinating is an unexpected and audacious moment that unfolded during a photography session with the iconic Annie Leibovitz. Queen Elizabeth II, known for her refined and poised demeanor, found herself at the heart of a photography controversy when Leibovitz made an unconventional request that sent shockwaves through the world of royal portraiture.

Annie Leibovitz, renowned for her ability to capture the essence of her subjects in an intimate and authentic manner, had the opportunity to photograph Queen Elizabeth II. During the shoot, the Queen was wearing the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” tiara, one of her personal favorites. It was a tiara that she had worn on numerous state occasions, and it had become an iconic symbol of her reign.

However, Leibovitz, known for her bold and unorthodox approach to photography, made a daring request. She asked Queen Elizabeth II to remove her tiara for a few shots, aiming to create a more informal and personal portrait of the Queen. In that moment, the world witnessed an unexpected side of the monarch, as she agreed to the unconventional request. The result was a breathtaking photograph that showcased the Queen in a different light, revealing a more approachable and candid persona.

Leibovitz’s audacious approach to the photoshoot was met with both admiration and criticism. Some praised her for capturing a unique and intimate portrait of the Queen, while others were critical of the breach of tradition and formality associated with the British monarchy. The photograph, which displayed the Queen without her tiara, was perceived by many as a break from the long-established norms of royal portraiture.

The controversy surrounding the incident even reached the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). When promoting a documentary about the Queen’s official photographer, the BBC initially claimed that Leibovitz had requested the Queen to remove her crown during the photoshoot. This statement caused a significant uproar and controversy, as it was widely seen as a misrepresentation of the facts.

The incident prompted a public outcry and led to discussions about the role of the media in accurately portraying royal events. While Annie Leibovitz’s request was indeed unconventional, it was not as drastic as removing the Queen’s crown, but rather her tiara. The controversy served as a reminder of the importance of accuracy and responsible reporting, particularly when it comes to covering royal affairs.

In summary, Queen Camilla’s recent appearance wearing the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” tiara brings to mind the memorable and somewhat controversial incident involving Annie Leibovitz and Queen Elizabeth II. The audacious request to capture an intimate and informal portrait of the Queen without her tiara caused a significant stir in the world of royal photography and even sparked a controversy within the media. This incident serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between tradition and innovation in royal portraiture and the need for responsible and accurate reporting in the portrayal of royal events.

In today’s society, women are increasingly involved in professional life, while at the same time managing their family and home. This dual responsibility creates enormous difficulties in finding harmony between career and family life. Supportive policies, attitudes and gender equality at home and at work are needed to help women find a balance between their professional and private lives.

Challenges for Working Women Trying to Balance Careers and Family

Working mothers face demands from both work and family. Time devoted to career takes away from family, while caring for children reduces productivity and opportunities at work. Women sacrifice personal needs and self-care struggling to “do it all.” The “second shift” of household duties like childcare, cooking, and cleaning often falls to women even with full-time jobs.

Constantly juggling work and domestic duties has detrimental effects on women’s health and wellbeing. Lack of sleep, exercise, relaxation, and personal time leads to increased stress and anxiety. Women report higher rates of burnout trying to excel in all areas of life. Mental load of managing schedules, emotional labor, and worry over children’s development are additional burdens.

The Need for Supportive Policies and Flexibility

Policies like paid maternity leave, paternity leave, and extended leave allow both mothers and fathers to take time off for childcare. Many countries mandate paid parental leave, but the US does not currently require companies to offer these benefits. Paid family leave helps women balance work and their vital role as mothers.

Employees can change their hours and locations because to flexible scheduling, compressed schedules, job sharing, and telecommuting. Working from home allows for parental freedom while maintaining professional engagement. Businesses should promote flexible work options without stigma or career repercussions.

Parents who can afford good childcare can concentrate at work. Employees’ daycare expenses are covered on-site, which cuts down on costs and commuting. On-site daycare is often found to increase productivity and employee retention. Governments can also contribute to the cost of early childhood and childcare programs.

Gender Roles and Societal Attitudes

Stereotypes that women should be primary caregivers and men primary breadwinners persist. But the dynamics of modern families and dual-earning households make these assumptions outdated. Gender equity at home, where fathers take equal responsibility for housework and child-rearing, is essential.

When men step up as equal partners in managing households and caring for children, they alleviate the burden on working mothers. Shared parenting and equitable distribution of labor at home fosters better work-life balance for women and active fatherhood for men.

Society undervalues domestic labor like housework, childcare, and emotional support as unpaid “women’s work.” But this invisible workload must be recognized as vital work that enables careers. Both women and men should be aware of and aim to share these responsibilities.

Companies Leading the Way

Many forward-thinking companies have implemented policies supporting work-life balance. Patagonia, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Spotify, and others offer generous paid leave, on-site childcare, flexible hours, and remote work. Their cultures foster harmony between work, family, and life.

Research shows family-friendly policies reduce turnover and boost loyalty, satisfaction, productivity, and profits. Support for caregiving communicates employees are valued. Smart companies realize helping staff achieve work-life balance provides a competitive advantage.

Examples of Family-Friendly Company Policies

 • Generous paid parental leave
 • On-site or subsidized childcare
 • Flexible scheduling options
 • Remote work and telecommuting
 • Phase-back programs after leave
 • Employee assistance programs
Key Statistics on Working Women
Women’s Share of Household Chores65%
Working Mothers Facing Burnout50% higher than average
Wage Gap Between Mothers and Fathers$16,000 less

Looking Ahead – Striving for Work-Life Harmony

With supportive policies, attitudes, and willingness to equally share caregiving and domestic duties, we can envision a society where both women and men achieve fulfilling careers and family lives with harmony, health, and satisfaction.

Achieving work-life balance and harmony benefits women, men, families, businesses, and society as whole. The challenges women face balancing demanding careers and family responsibilities are immense but not insurmountable. With paid leave, flexible policies, affordable childcare, and societal mindset shifts towards equitable divisions of labor, we can create a culture that values and supports the lives of working women and families.

For working moms seeking balance, remember to be kind to yourself and set realistic expectations. Seek support from family, friends, and coworkers. Set boundaries and learn to say no. Make self-care a priority, even if it’s just small moments of relaxation. Achieving perfect work-life balance is difficult, but small steps can make a big difference.

Are you passionate about the wedding industry and looking to embark on a career in video editing? If so, I’ve got a comprehensive guide for you! As someone deeply embedded in the video editing realm, I can vouch for the potential in the wedding sector. In this article, I will detail five effective avenues to secure video editing jobs for weddings, and be sure to stick around for some pro tips that could propel your career forward.

1. Tapping into Wedding Platforms: The Knot & Wedding Wire

Two renowned platforms in the wedding world are The Knot and Wedding Wire. If you are keen on either editing or shooting for weddings, these platforms can be invaluable. Here’s a step-by-step process:

 1. Navigate to the vendor’s section and select ‘videographers.’
 2. Browse those in your vicinity.
 3. Visit their individual websites.
 4. Craft a message offering your video editing or shooting services, highlighting your local availability.

While this approach might resemble a cold email, many videographers dislike the editing aspect. There’s a substantial opportunity to collaborate and offer your expertise.

2. Utilizing Freelancing Platforms: Upwork

Upwork is a well-known freelancing hub, predominately catering to remote tasks. As you scour this platform:

 • Focus on postings that emphasize video editing over shooting.
 • You might encounter a plethora of listings, ranging from personal family slideshows to professional cinematic wedding edits.
 • Consider smaller projects as stepping stones to gain credibility in the wedding domain.

3. Offering Services on Fiverr

While Fiverr operates slightly differently from Upwork, it remains a hotspot for freelancers, especially in the wedding sector. Here’s how you can stand out:

 • List your service as ‘Professional Wedding Video Editing.’
 • Set competitive pricing.
 • Regularly update your profile to attract clients.

4. Connecting with Local Companies

Your locale might be teeming with companies providing wedding services. If you possess both videography and editing skills, consider the following:

 • Approach these firms via cold emails. Remember to maintain professionalism and brevity.
 • Explore their websites for main contact details.
 • Delve into platforms like LinkedIn to discern decision-makers within the organization. Direct outreach could yield more positive outcomes.

5. Exploring Job Search Websites

Numerous hiring portals, such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Linkedin, etc., feature both remote and local video editing positions. Although many listings might combine videography with editing, consistency in your search can eventually lead to the perfect match. When searching on job portals, use specific keywords like “wedding video editing”, “wedding post-production”, or “wedding film editing” to narrow down relevant listings.

Most hiring websites offer the option to set up job alerts. Input your specific criteria, such as “wedding video editing”, and receive email notifications when new listings match your search. If you prefer in-person collaborations or want to work with local wedding videographers, use location filters to find opportunities in your vicinity.

Ensure that your online profile or portfolio showcases your best wedding video edits. If you haven’t worked on wedding videos before, consider doing a few sample edits to demonstrate your skills. Tailor each job application to highlight your experience and skills relevant to wedding video editing. A personalized cover letter can make you stand out.

Pro Tips for Your Job Hunt

Seasonality Matters: Wedding peak seasons typically span from April to October. Hiring spikes might occur at the beginning or toward October due to the wedding volume. It’s crucial to align your job search with these time frames.

Collaboration is Key: When joining a company, expect some level of collaboration. They might have set editing methodologies or prefer specific platforms, like Premiere or Final Cut.

Diversify Your Skills: While I’ve mainly focused on video editing, being versatile and incorporating videography can amplify your appeal. By showcasing both skill sets, you’ll likely be a more attractive candidate.

Conclusion

The journey to becoming a sought-after video editor in the wedding industry might seem daunting, but with the right strategies and persistence, success is attainable. If you’re eager to dive deeper into the world of video editing, do consider subscribing for more insights on creativity, video editing, and the freelance lifestyle. If you’re a girl who’s interested in pursuing a career in video editing, there are a few helpful tips to keep in mind. Becoming a professional video editor is not just about mastering the art of merging clips; it’s about understanding the intricacies of storytelling, managing time effectively, and continuously evolving with the industry.

1. Starting Basics: Understand Video Editing

Before diving into the world of professional video editing, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with its basics. Platforms like YouTube, Udemy, Skillshare, and Lynda offer a plethora of video editing tutorials. Even if you’ve dabbled in editing TikToks or Instagram Reels, you have already set foot into this world. So, begin with the basics and expand from there.

2. Choosing the Right Software for You

Several video editing software options cater to different needs:

Evaluate them based on your requirements and budget, and then dive deep into your chosen platform.

3. Practice Makes Perfect

Begin with simple videos and gradually challenge yourself with complex projects. This stepwise approach not only hones your skills but also helps in building a compelling portfolio. Starting with straightforward video editing projects, such as cutting clips or merging videos, offers a comfortable space to get familiar with the tools and interfaces of your chosen software.

At this stage, it’s more about understanding the functionalities, recognizing shortcuts, and establishing a smooth workflow. These simpler tasks, while basic, form the foundational blocks of more advanced editing techniques. They give a newbie the confidence to create without overwhelming them.

4. Feedback and Collaboration

Constructive criticism is a ladder to perfection. Seek feedback from peers and professionals to refine your skills. It offers a fresh perspective on your work, highlights areas for improvement, and encourages skill development. Moreover, it builds resilience by teaching editors to navigate criticism and discern its valuable aspects.

Collaboration, on the other hand, is a gateway to learning and networking. Through co-creation, editors can exchange skills, view alternative editing techniques, and expand their professional network. Collaborative projects also push editors out of their comfort zones, allowing them to diversify their portfolios and understand team dynamics.

5. Essential Soft Skills to Cultivate

 • Time Management: Accurate time estimations can be the difference between keeping or losing a client.
 • Organization: A well-structured workflow and organized files are imperative, especially when handling substantial projects.
 • Creativity: Stay innovative and open to various visual interpretations.
 • Communication: Maintain open channels with your clients. Regular updates can prevent misunderstandings.
 • Storytelling: While it’s a natural talent for some, others can hone it by consuming various forms of media, like books and movies.

6. Continuous Learning and Networking

The video editing field is dynamic. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated. Also, network with industry professionals; relationships can open doors to numerous opportunities. To stay relevant, editors must prioritize continuous learning. Workshops and seminars keep editors updated on the latest tools, techniques, and industry trends while also enhancing their range of expertise.

Networking is equally vital. Building connections can lead to job opportunities, often before they’re publicly advertised. Relationships in the industry can foster mentorships, collaborative projects, and skill exchanges, which are invaluable for career growth.

Closing Thoughts

Achieving a thriving career in video editing requires dedication, hard work, and patience. Embrace both the technical and the abstract, and remember: every edited clip is a story waiting to be told. Dive deep into resources, collaborate, and keep learning.

For those interested in freelance video editing, exploring dedicated series on the topic can offer more in-depth insights. Stay connected, seek advice, and always be in the learning mode.

How does it happen that for many women it’s not the same thing? After all, there is a woman’s body, there is attraction to men – it would seem that everything is obvious. But for some reason, this fact does not give one hundred percent certainty. Self-doubting woman looks around and finds hundreds of so-called “women’s trainings” that promise happiness after discovering clearly defined and necessary qualities. This means that there is a universal recipe for finding female happiness. And a woman decides to find out the recipe.

Life in an abstract concept cannot be realized. Life consists of flesh and blood, joy and suffering, successes and failures. It is very difficult to convince life to misallocate the energies and tasks of partners. It is not worth spending the allotted time on it. If you blindly try to change yourself based on what somewhere and once was considered right – there will be no happiness. Because only within one partnership a unique balance of distribution of energies is built. Because each partner is not only a man or a woman. It is a personality with its own needs, resources and deficits.

What was needed from a woman to an ancient Hindu or a medieval knight, a peasant of the middle strip of pre-revolutionary Russia or a party worker of the 70s – is not suitable for a man of the 21st century. And if it fits, it is his individual preferences and even then a woman must ask herself the question – whether it suits her. And there can be no rules in answering this question.

Analyzing the reasons why women go in search of mythological femininity, I often come across the fact that they don’t really want to change for a man, they want to receive more warmth from him. Pay attention – in fact, women want a man to exhibit those very “feminine” qualities! And this is not a paradox. This is normal!

Because there is no such thing as only feminine or masculine characteristics. Each person carries infinite potential and manifests what is in demand and what he or she thinks is right. And people’s needs have no gender – they are universal and we all want warmth and care. If we consider partnership as a unity, as a certain cauldron, in which many components, combining with each other, create something new – is it important who brings sugar into the cauldron and who brings salt and pepper? It is important that both of them like the taste. Only then will people be good together.

At the receptions of married and non-family couples, the importance of women’s activity, determination and responsibility for men is very often revealed. In most couples, the relationship problem is a problem of respect and mutual understanding. When a man complains about the lack of softness of a woman, as a rule, in fact, he lacks recognition of his merits. But is it necessary to be some kind of especially soft to see your partner’s strengths? Rather, you just need to be attentive and really want to establish a relationship, having sorted out your own expectations.

What is true friendship? https://lo-wren.com/what-is-true-friendship/ Tue, 11 Oct 2022 07:36:00 +0000 https://lo-wren.com/?p=36 First of all, we need to remember that there is no such thing as "friendship". That is, there are relationships between people that can be characterized in some way

The post What is true friendship? appeared first on WLo-Ren.

]]>
First of all, we need to remember that there is no such thing as “friendship”. That is, there are relationships between people that can be characterized in some way, and there is a tradition of calling a certain type of relationship friendship. But there is no independent entity called “friendship.” There are only real live relationships, without names or clear outlines.

It follows that notions like “real friendship”, “real love” and the like are essentially absurd. If only concrete interactions between concrete people really exist, how can one draw a line between the real and the not-real, between friendship and not-friendship, between love and not-love?

Nevertheless, it is still accepted to draw a certain line. And it is done on the basis of an artificial scale of evaluations. The situation here is like watching the waves in the sea. Some go from left to right, others from right to left. Which ones are the real ones? How to separate some waves from others, if everything depends on which foot and on which side the observer stands?

One way or another, we have come to believe that the smaller waves are friendship, and the bigger waves are love. But it is not the labels we hang on them, not our opinions, but the waves themselves that matter. That is, what matters are concrete live relationships with a living person, not what we call them and what template we try to fit them into.

So, is it worth discussing what “real friendship” is? Let’s better see what friendship is understood in practice, and what it all leads to.

Female friendship

Women are creatures of practicality and pragmatism. From a social point of view, it may not always look beautiful, because such far-fetched principles as loyalty and devotion, for women in general do not exist. But from a psychological point of view, such sobriety is only admirable. Men should learn this from women.

Female friendship always has the character of a temporary union. Like two independent states honoring their own interests above all. Sometimes it’s good to have an ally. But do kings and presidents swear eternal loyalty? No, an alliance exists only as long as it’s beneficial.

It’s the same with women – as long as it’s convenient and profitable to be friends, they’re best friends. But as soon as the interests crossed – friendship is over. In words may sound slogans about loyalty, but in practice a woman will do exactly as it is profitable for her, and just find an excuse in the fact that the case is exceptional, and nothing she could not help herself.

And that’s really good. Because a woman deceives herself and others only in words, and in action is always more or less honest to herself. But men for the sake of friendship and this vow can let their whole lives go under the radar, and there is nothing to be proud of.

The post How do you become confident and always keep your mark? appeared first on WLo-Ren.

For a woman, the phrases: “don’t fall in the mud”, “have self-esteem”, “keep up the mark” are associated with self-confidence. Agree that such expressions are associated with a woman who knows her value and knows how to achieve her own. Undoubtedly, she gets the attention of the opposite sex, and succeeds in her career. After all, the vast majority of people on whom a woman’s career depends – men.

How to become self-confident and remain so in any situation?
How to learn to always keep the brand and not fall in the mud face? Questions that are important for any woman who consciously goes through life.

In every historical period, in every culture, in fact, there was a different understanding of dignity.

It is known that medieval Japanese samurai, before battle, smeared their hair with aromatic mixtures and incense, with the purpose that if the enemy defeats the samurai and beheads (which was the mandatory and inevitable fate of the defeated), the head should look and smell dignified. Some samurai for this purpose applied exquisite makeup to their faces before battle, which many modern women might envy!

In today’s world, of course, no one thinks about decapitation, but you can very easily tell by your appearance whether you are a confident woman or not. Looking at you, the people around you for a few seconds already form a first impression. Look, posture, gait, voice, elements of clothing, hairstyle, makeup – all this is of paramount importance.

Self-confidence helps you achieve great success:

 • in your personal life
 • in career
 • in social interactions
 • and in every other field.

We have all seen reference examples of “businesswomen” in American movies, and they can be characterized by the very phrases with which we began the article. Self-confidence, and a head held high will show that you are the person who is able to make decisions and find ways out of difficult situations.

At work, show it to your boss, let him see you as not only a mechanism for accomplishing tasks, but a really confident woman, worthy of a high career, and success will not wait.

In communication with men also always behave decently. After all, those unhappy women who wipe their feet, themselves guilty of this.

From the very beginning, show a man that you know your worth,
and don’t settle for less.

Let’s imagine a few more situations:

 • you accidentally stepped on your grandmother’s foot in the subway. Grandma screams at the whole carriage.
 • Your boyfriend suddenly allowed himself a harsh expression in your address, for example: “Are you stupid?”
 • A respected boss suddenly and unapologetically began to offer you to sleep with him.

What to do if you find yourself in such an unpleasant situation, which can damage your image, the respect of others for you, and most importantly – self-respect? The outcome depends only on you!
